Desi and Vanesa
Mix
Tan/Brown/White
Approx 1.5 yrs old
Approx. 50- 70lbs
Female

Vanessa and Desiree are getting better everyday. Both have gained over 10 pounds since being placed in boarding at Hollydogs Pet Resort in Hollywood, Fl They have given us an awesome rescue rate, take wonderful care of them, and feed them an all organic highly nutritious diet. Vanessa has begun here heart worm treatment injections and both are in good spirits. Despite what they have been through, both LOVE people and both appear to do fine with smaller dogs. I strongly believe a trainer can work any issues they have with larger dogs out (remember their only interaction with dogs other than each other to date was to be attacked by them), and considering what they have been through, their overall depositions are miracles. Desiree has even learned how to sit and give some paw. We are really looking for a miracle here. We are trying to find a foster or permanent home with no other dogs or no other large dogs, that would be willing to take them both in.

They appear to also do fine with cats and Children should also be fine. They are tremendously bonded together and strongly rely on each others presence for support. They are extremely well behaved together, showing no signs or digging, chewing, or other nuisance behaviors. We really want to keep them together considering what they have been through and the hard and traumatic life they have had together. Without each other, we think they would be in much worse shape. At the end of the day, both would make AMAZING immediate family members, and getting the two together would make a real immediate doggy family and would be a fantastic ending to what started out as a heartbreaking story. For those of you that do not know, these two were the victims of dog fighting, specifically they were used as bait dogs for other dogs to attack.

We base this conclusion on their non aggressive temperament and the significant defensive injuries when they were found dumped at a DirecTV warehouse in Fort Lauderdale 4 weeks ago. Both were severely injured, with hundreds of old and recent scars, overwhelmed with intestinal worms, completely emaciated, and Vanessa had heart worms. Both were extremely skiddish from being beaten and attacked.  Now we just need a Saint of a Human Being to step up and give them a happy ending. They will also be at victoria park animal hospital's anniversary/adoption event on November 19th if you would like to meet them. We estimate their ages at approximately 1.5 years old.

UnderDog will pay for all remaining veterinary costs and an additional year of any vet costs. Please email us at underdogfoundation@gmail.com.

Magoo
Shih Tzu
White with silver
Adult
Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less
Male

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs and tested negatively for Heartworms, erlichia, and lyme disease.

Hi, my name is Magoo. I am a very happy and friendly little guy. I wasn't always so happy though. I thought I had a loving and safe home with a family, but one day they took me for a ride in the car and they took me to a strange neighborhood that I did not recognize and left me all alone there. I waited and waited for days hoping they would come back, but they never did.

I wandered around looking for food and shelter, and I found a very nice man who took me to his home, gave me food and water and nice safe place to stay for the night. The nice and man and his wife have 2 very big doggies who aren't that happy about me being a guest so I can not stay here permanently. I would love to have a place to call home. I am very friendly, healthy, playful, and housebroken. My only bad habits are that I don't like to share my toys and food and sometimes I can get a little snippy, but the good news is that I am working on getting better and anyone who adopts me would get a free training session with my trainer to continue my progress. I would love to meet you and hope you make me part of your family!

Super Duper
American Bulldog/Dogo Argentino Mix
White with black
Young
Medium 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Male

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Super Duper was found in Kendall wandering a neighborhood by a teenage girl and she begged her mom to be able to take him in. She reluctantly agreed and we agreed to get this guy vetted, neutered and up to date on all his shots with the condition that they take him back home and foster him after.

Unfortunately the family never came back for Super Duper, they dumped him at the vets all alone! Poor Super spends his days in a crate with little to no interaction. He is a wonderful cool dude who loves going for a walk and chilling on the couch.

Cindy
Vizsla/Rhodesian Ridgeback Mix
Red/Golden/Orange/Chestnut
Puppy
Medium 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Female

I am already spayed, housetrained, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Miss Cindy as she was named by the kind samaritan who took her in. She was found wandering in a parking lot of a Winn Dixie in Miami. She was very skinny, dirty and searching for food. The kind woman took her home and Miss Cindy was more than willing to come along! She was very hungry and wanted a safe and quiet place to sleep.

The Underdog Foundation sent Cindy to the vet where she was checked out. It was found that poor Cindy had a tick borne illness, erlichia as well as heartworms no doubt because she was on the street in south fl with no protection where the mosquitos and ticks are plentiful in summer. The good news is that since Cindy is only about 7-10 months old and very healthy otherwise, both of these are easily treated and she has already started the process and is on the road to recovery!! We expect she will be 100% in no time with no complications.

Cindy has a great energy and she would do well in a home where her new family could give her daily walks and plenty of love. She has been around small children and other dogs and has been just fine, she can just get boisterous if you don't pay attention to her, but hey, she's a puppy and puppies like to play!

Ever
Boxer/Labrador Retriever Mix
Brindle
Young
Medium 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Female

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Ever was dumped in the everglades with her mate, Glade and left to die. Ever is a small (25-30lb) female brindle boxer mix and Glades is a 75 lb (about 35 pounds underweight) bull mastiff. Both have been fixed and are fully vetted, and both are extremely friendly.

They survived together as buddies down in south miami which is basically the everglades. They were both left there by their previous owner(s) to fend for themselves and if not for a concerned park ranger, they would have starved to death. They continue to improve and both have fantastic temperaments and have a true love for human interaction. They do not need to be adopted together, but if there is anyone out there that would keep them together, it would be wonderful. Both also appear to be housetrained.

Glades
Bullmastiff/Boxer Mix
Tan/Yellow/Fawn
Young
Large 61-100 lbs (28-45kg)
Male

I am already neutered, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Glades was dumped with his female companion, Ever in the South FL Everglades and left to die. Ever is a small brindle boxer mix and Glades is about 65 lbs, he should be about 85-90 lbs when he is healthy again. The vet believes Glades is a purebred mastiff. Both have been fixed and are fully vetted, and both are extremely friendly.

They survived together as buddies down in the Hammocks in south miami which is basically the everglades. They were both left there by their previous owner(s) to fend for themselves and if not for a concerned park ranger, they would have starved to death. They have been fully vetted and continue to improve and both have fantastic temperaments and have a true affinity for human interaction. They do not need to be adopted together, but if there is anyone out there that would keep them together, it would be wonderful. Both also appear to be housetrained.
